2. Data we collect

IIS collects and processes personal data strictly for incident investigation purposes:

• Account credentials (name, email, hashed password)
• Investigation records you create or contribute to
• File attachments uploaded during investigations
• Audit log entries tracking system actions

3. Legal basis

Processing is based on legitimate interests of the organisation to manage safety incidents, comply with occupational health and safety obligations, and prevent recurrence.

4. Data retention

Investigation records are retained for the period required by applicable HSE regulations (typically 5–10 years). Account data is deleted upon request subject to legal retention obligations.

5. Your rights

Under applicable data protection law (GDPR / UAE PDPL) you may request access, correction, or erasure of your personal data. Submit requests to [email protected]. Erasure requests for user accounts are processed via the system administrator.

6. Data hosting

Data is hosted on infrastructure located in the European Union (Hostinger). No personal data is transferred to third countries except where required by law.
